Supply Putnam County!
The Kids In Need Foundation is seeking assistance from you to help Putnam County School District, a rural and very depressed area of Florida. They have been hit hard by unemployment. Many parents are participating in new skills training, but in the meantime, their children are doing without. The school district is struggling financially. Their general operating budget has been reduced by more than $7.7 million in the past two years, and the schools will face a $13 million shortfall next year.
The Kids In Need Foundation wants to make sure the district’s 300 students have the supplies they need for the opening day of the 2009-2010 school year. A donation of $15 will supply one student with a starter kit of supplies. Donate now to Supply Putnam County!
